Wow, this place is the best Thai we've had in Portland. I don't want to be hyperbolic but I honestly do not remember having Thai this good in any part of the US. The flavors remind me of some of the small hole-in-the-wall eateries you'd have in alleyways in Bangkok (I was a dish-washer at one). You could taste the smokiness and the heat from the wok. We ordered chive dumpling (my favorite), GraPow Gai Kai Dow (another favorite), Panang Nuah (a luxuriously decadent curry), Moo Ping pork skewers, and sticky rice. We couldn't believe we've been sleeping on this place as locals. Needless to say, we've found a hidden local gem.
Cute and tiny joint. You order through a drive thru window and you can either take out, or sit at tables outside. The staff is very pleasant and the food is delicious.
We each had the choo-chee banh mi and split an order of the pork dumplings. Everything was absolutely delicious. The French bread, perfectly breaded fish, sauce, and the dumplings! Wow! We love little pig!
An unexpected scrumptious last-minute find! We were so pleased with our dinner this evening, so fresh and well paired flavors, I was more than pleased with my tuna special. My husband loved his Tom Kha Gai soup plus appetizer. We will definitely be back!
Thanks for your amazing food. The best food! We are already planning a visit. I have added photos of the great set up, we love it!
This place is the definition of a hidden gem!! Super tiny family-run business, they basically only do about 8-10 dishes but they do them VERY well. Best of all, they have vegan options! This might be a hot take for Portland but Little Pig's tofu banh mi is hands down the BEST in town. It's a perfect balance of fresh veggies, tofu, sauce, crunchy-flaky-pillowy-soft baguette, a bite of heat from the jalapenos... SO good! My friends and I usually split a side of chive cakes too, they're an excellent addition of crispy-soft flavor (especially when they're still hot from the fryer). A variety of citrus Spindrift seltzer options complete the perfect meal here. Huge fan, 10/10!
If I could give this place a million stars, I would. Everything was absolutely delicious!! I got the TomKhaGai and the Piyathida's Dumplings, both were beyond amazing tasting. My sister had the GraPow Gai Kai Dow and some rolls (I forgot the name) and she said hers was so delicious as well. Great portions and the people working were so sweet and fast! You definitely have to check this place out!
We ordered the chive cakes (only 1/2 order was available), choo-chee banh mi, and panang nuah. This restaurant is incredible. Hours later, we wished we could go back and order more! The choo-chee banh mi was extremely flavorful and the fish was perfectly cooked and flaky. The curry (panang nuah) was excellent and the beef melted in our mouths. We can’t wait to return! Service was quick. You order through the window. There is only shaded outdoor seating. We didn’t see a restroom, but this wasn’t an issue for us. This place is a must-visit!!
